Mini Laptop or Regular Laptop?

Just about anywhere you look, you can find someone with a Mini laptop. You see them on buses, trains, planes, and in just about every classroom on a college or university campus. It seems as though the Mini laptop has come from nowhere to be pretty popular, almost overnight.

I would call it a mini laptop and there are many other names that these microcomputers are known by. The number one purpose of a Mini laptop is to keep its owner connected to the net wherever he or she may be located at anytime. Its a rather cool concept if you ask me.

Although hard to believe, the Mini laptop is becoming the fastest growing segment of the laptop industry and is fully expected to reach over 140 million units sold by the year 2013. Wow!

Honestly, I see two reasons why the Mini laptop industry has grown so fast over the last year or so. They are a hot commodity for students and any individual who does a lot of traveling for work. They are perfect for both individuals, but why?

Mini laptops are very small and compact. Their display is at the very most, 10 inches. Not only are the super small but they are super light as well. They probably weigh anywhere from 1-3 pounds. They are also super compact so they are perfect for students carrying them around in a backpack, or for a businessman or woman to carry onto a plane.

They Are Portable

As stated in the last paragraph, because a Mini laptop is so super small, it is extremely portable.

Sturdiness

Despite their size, these computers are designed to be sturdy and tough. They can handle hard knocks and keep working properly. I mean, face it Students and people who travel a lot are not the most careful when it comes to protecting their possessions.

Battery Life

Mini laptops are very small, so the battery life is much better than a regular laptop. Nobody wants a laptop that has no battery life and needs to use a power cord all of the time. You can take them anywhere on a full charge and last you all day.

Price

As you probably have guessed, the top reason why people are buying these cheap mini laptops are because they are very affordable for anyone. Students are on a budget business, people probably already have a laptop but want something smaller and lighter. They are so affordable that just about anyone could purchase it and be happy.
